Construit à partir du XIIIe siècle en tant que palais royal, la Conciergerie fut transformée en prison quand la famille royale a déménagé dans les environs plus luxueux du Louvre et de Vincennes.
Surnommée "l'antichambre de la guillotine" durant la Révolution, vous y visiterez notamment l'ancien tribunal situé dans la Grande Salle et arpenterez les cellules autrefois réservées aux "ennemis de la République". Vous découvrirez également les tombeaux des héros de la Révolution.
Inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, la Conciergerie est un véritable trésor d'architecture. Dans un style gothique à l’époque précurseur, la Conciergerie reste l’un des derniers témoignages de l'architecture des XIIIe et XIVe siècle au sein de la capitale.
Une visite unique vous attend dans cet édifice parfois méconnu mais emblématique de l'Histoire de France !
